Vehicle Fire on I-40

Engine 23, Tanker 21, and Utility 21 responded to I-40 on a vehicle fire reported to be in the westbound lane around the 156 mile marker. County-Line VFD responded as automatic aid. An Iredell County Sheriff's Deputy arrived to find a working fire in a pickup truck. County-Line 1802 and Cool Springs Engine 23 arrived. Firefighters extinguished the fire within minutes. No injuries were reported and the scene was turned over to the NC Highway Patrol.
