Cool Springs and County Line firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident involving an overturned tractor trailer at 12:36 am. Companies arrived to find a box type trailer overturned with fuel leaking from the tractor's fuel tanks. The trailer was loaded with lemons. The driver had climbed through the front windshield and was not injured. She stated that a deer had ran onto the roadway and she swerved to miss it and lost control of the truck.
Both eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 were closed and would be until 12 noon. Crews and apparatus remained on the scene until the truck could be uprighted by Skeets Towing Service. American Environmental arrived on the scene to begin the clean up of the lost cargo and fuel spilled.
