By Engineer Andy Webster
December 2, 2013

Cool Springs Fire was called to assist Ebenezer Fire on a motor vehicle accident involving an overturned tractor trailer hauling logs. The driver was pinned inside the vehicle and had to be extricated. Engine 1 responded with a four man crew and blocked Old Mocksville Road above the accident site. Two crew members assisted at the accident scene. Squad 1 responded later to replace Engine 1 with traffic control.

A large tow truck was requested to the scene to help secure the overturned truck so the driver could be extricated. Old Mocksville Road was closed for several hours after the driver was extricated so the truck could be removed and a damaged power pole could be replaced by EnergyUnited crews.

Units: Cool Springs Engine 1 and Squad 1, Ebenezer Engine 1303, Iredell Rescue 1117 and 1108, Iredell EMS IMED 1 and IMED 3.
