On December 10 we held our annual awards dinner and banquet. On this night we enjoyed a great meal prepared by Brad Torrence and Noble. Menu was steak, chicken, potatoes, corn, green beans, salad and desserts. We also recognized BJ Arning for 2016 Medical Responder of the year, Captain Jonathan Teague for 2016 Officer of the year, Firefighter Bryan Bowman 2016 firefighter of the year and Anthony Weston for Rookie of the Year. We also gave out several years of service awards and plenty of door prizes. This years banquet was bitter sweet because this is the last one in out original building. We have had 56 Christmas banquets in this station and even though we will be moving into a much needed larger building this old one still holds a ton of memories for so many of us. We also had a visit from Santa for all the kids and finished off the night with fellowship.
