20 years ago the lives of so many first responders in Iredell County changed forever, Cool Springs and Iredell Rescue more so then most

While responding to a structure fire we get banged out to a motor vehicle accident at the same time. Resources split responses to handle both calls without hesitation. It didn’t take long for the word to get out it was Randy in the accident and it did not look good. Everything from this point forward seemed like it moved in slow motion, but yet so fast. I hope no one ever has to experience this pain but in the same breath it was amazing to watch other organizations come in and “take over” while we grieve the loss of our Brother. For the ones that had the privilege to know him and work with him the pain does not go away. He was the definition of FIRST RESPONDER. He is missed everyday. The ones who worked with him are less and less but that does not mean he is forgotten.
