On Thursday August 1st, 2024 at 7pm, the 64th annual meeting of the department corporation will take place in the training room of Firehouse 1. At this event the community will elect three citizens to serve a three year term as a member of the Board of Directors. The Board has 9 members and each year three of those members are elected or re-elected to the Board by a vote of the citizens of the Cool Springs Fire District and members of the department.

The Board appointed Board Member Thomas Groff as the nominating committee Chair for 2024. Thomas then had to recruit three community members to serve on the committee and those three citizens were Mr. Kelly Overcash, Mr. Randy Trivette and Mr. Brandon Lloyd. The committee submitted the following three community members for consideration.

Mr. Von Turner of 282 Sain Road. Von is a current Board member and has agreed to serve another term.

Mr. Todd Bowers of 104 Skyland Drive. Todd is a current Board member as well as an Assistant Chief of the Department. He has agreed to serve another term.

Ms. Kelly Feimster of 114 Barry Oak Road. Kelly is a lifelong member of the community and educator.

The community is invited to attend and vote for these nominees on August 1st.
