Tanker 1

The largest apparatus in our fleet, Tanker 1 responds as a primary water supply unit for all fires and fire alarms in our district.  In addition, it is a valuable mutual aid unit, as it is capable of hauling a large amount of water to areas in Iredell County that do not have adequate water sources for firefighting. 

• 2009 Pierce/Kenworth tanker
• 3,640 gallon elliptical tank
• 1,000 Hale pump
• Two (2) SCBA
• Floating dock, low-level strainers
• Storz adaptors, wyes, gates

Response Criteria: First-out tanker on all reported structure fires and fire alarms; also a mutual aid/automatic aid unit for surrounding departments.
